To act on your feeling

David Byrne's voice in this song reminds me of a good friend of mine who I only ever see once every few months, yet I never have to worry about them because they'll always be there. One of the few people I will always be comfortable saying hello to.
I was just thinking about another dichotomy. People tell you so often to act on yout feelings, on the here and now. But I feel like I've been unable to fulfil my duty to act for my future, to do things I don't enjoy but need to do to ensure I can keep acting on the here and now, which I enjoy far more. I will figure it out, somehow.
Photo taken 10 June in Redcliffs. I pass by here almost once a week (it used to be more before driving became a luxury), and it's a fond place for me. The reflection of the sky in the estuary and the remnants of Christchurch's skyline always inspire me on the way back to Christchurch.
