So you tolerate me

Love letter written last year.

I've written hate/avoidance poetry about most of the people I actually liked at some point in my life- some of which has been posted here, but most of which I just keep in the wardrobe in my room not to be looked at. To be fair, most of it does not apply anymore as I've moved on (er, from the most significant ones anyhow). How silly you feel with the benefit of foresight!

This one came to mind recently, though. Probably an episode that has had more perverse effects on me than any other episode- and to both my own disjoy and eventually, appreciation, what I went through I've found myself replicating upon other people. I don't think I had ever been more confused and disheartened by someone in my life, and I feel conflicted to be the person dishing it out. Not that it matters anymore.

Talking Heads felt like an appropriate musical accompaniment to this poem, considering the person; er, subject; I wrote this about.

Photo taken on Bealey Avenue during a downpour earlier this year.

The poem was not dated, but I think it could have been written in November. It certainly was written after our first flatmate moved out, I can tell you that much.
