She was waving back at me

I saw someone today at a musical, someone I hadn't seen for at least three months, and I was confused, because there's at least two of her, and I can't tell who is who, but I didn't wave back.

You were the one I once had a really nice conversation about scotland and travel while walking around the margaret mahy playground at 10:30pm, and you offered to buy me my ice cream, because I was totally going to walk out of the rollickin on new regents st without paying

Or you were the one who was waiting for hours in between sessions at a UN Youth event before I left early because I was starving myself at the time and couldn't go on

Either way, both of you have said hello to me twice now, and I didn't respond both times because I remain confused about my heart and don't want to drag more people into it.

Photo taken 16th January 2026 on Summit Rd. I came up with the poem on the drive home and then on the drive up Evans Pass tonight. Nothing much like putting on some house music and finding rhymes whilst battling fog and a stretch of mountain road at 60km/h
