Wrestling with my mind
Posted: 08/12/2025
Seems like my Christmases come a couple days late. I'm sorry, mum.
I'm of very mixed mind about everything, but I find beauty in paradoxes. One most always feel comfortable or else risk being hurt. One must risk being hurt or they may never grow. I don't want anyone to be uncomfortable because of things I've done; I need people to feel uncomfortable or else they may not realise something that they ought to. I must accept what's in front of me or I'll never be happy; I can't be happy unless I reject what's in front of me and change it for something I can accept. Why must life be so difficult? Well, life wouldn't be interesting otherwise, and I feel lucky to have such an interesting one. But it seems like as soon as things become easy, it becomes uninteresting. How paradoxical.
I'm not sure what my poetry is going to look like in the near future. I tend to write when I'm in a mood. But most of my poetry has tended to be about the past, which, for the time being, I'm better off leaving (for it would get in the way of things). And now I'm not so sure. Writing about the present is a whole new deal, one I'd like to learn to do but really have not much of an idea of. I have to start somewhere...
