The brain thaws slowly now

I've been told my poetry is too obvious. Well, darn you on ya special day, I'm going deeper. (But I'm also touched, someone pays attention to me sometimes. Thank you.)
There are times where you feel like the experience you just had with the people around you will go on forever and never be matched, and when you leave it behind you never realise how much whiplash you're about to face... If this year has taught me anything it's about how I really need to accept things as they are. And yet, there's the trick - some things about me just have to change.
I try to put a little bit of effort into each song I have for the post of each poem, though I wonder if people do listen to it (to be fair, I'm not sure if I would notice them either). This song was named for the Cure's lead singer's girlfriend, Mary. But the lyrics ain't too happy.
